We encourage and support residents to maintain as much independence as possible and ensure that they have as much input as they would like to when it comes to their personal care plans. We love getting to know them and their unique personalities as we welcome them to the Kirklands family.

They have a good variety of food and drinks. The rooms are very clean for the residents. The staff are always willing to help no matter how busy they are. Very welcoming feeling when you arrive. You’ll notice the warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere at Spencefield Grange as soon as you arrive. A home where welfare and comfort are paramount, it’s been designed specifically to offer freedom and independence to our residents while ensuring they are always safe.

Bedrooms are fully furnished with everything they need on arrival, but residents are encouraged to decorate their personal space with their preferred colours and soft furnishings, to help them feel happy and comfortable in their new home.

With plenty of floor space to help them move around safely, and a number of comfortable seating areas to choose from where they can sit and relax with other residents, carers or their loved ones, Spencefield Grange really is designed to be a home that they feel is their own. There’s also a safe, secure garden to help them enjoy some fresh air and beautiful outdoor space, without them going too far.

Spencefield Grange care home provides residential care for up to 60 people (male and female) of mixed physical and cognitive ability.

Wellness

Our passionate team of carers continually look to enhance the lives of our residents through the wide selection of social and independent activities that are arranged by our dedicated activities coordinator. Our residents play an integral role in selecting our programme of events, and we take note of any special dates, birthdays or anniversaries. Whether it’s taking a trip down memory lane or looking ahead to new experiences, Spencefield Grange is somewhere were strangers quickly become friends.

Some of our most popular activities and events include bingo evenings, coffee mornings, tea parties, music therapy, quizzes and trips into the local area to community events. Residents also have the opportunity to join in with adapted exercise classes delivered by qualified instructors. We also partner with local services including a hairdresser, dentist, optician, district nurse and GP to optimise the wellness of every one of our residents. Kirklands Care is a family run business that shared my own beliefs of care and that the residents care is of upmost priority and this for me comes first. My love of spending time with the residents shines through my work, hearing their stories and having the ability to make a difference in their lives. Every resident I care for is treated how I would expect my family member to be cared for which for me is with love dignity and respect. My role allows me to work with families to take the pressure off whilst allowing them to feel their loved one is in a suitable environment, is safe and cared for.
